Section Serralada de Marina Park

The Ronda Verda runs through part of Parque de la Serralada de Marina. This natural area forms part of the coastal range of hills and has a total surface area of 2,086 hectares. Visitors have the chance to enjoy Iberian settlements, hilltop chapels, monasteries and many springs and rest areas (L’Alzina, L’Alba, El Tort, El Pop, L’Amigó, Els Caçadors, Els Avellaners and the Can Ruti picnic area). It should be highlighted that the Catalonia stretch of the GR-92 (Portbou-Ulldecona) passes through here, giving access to La Conreria.

Places of interest

Puig Castellar Iberian settlement, the chapels of Sant Climent and Sant Onofre and the monastery of Sant Jeroni de la Murtra.

Characteristics

The route in this area covers forest paths and tracks in the Serralada de Marina as well as part of the urban centres of Badalona and Santa Coloma de Gramenet.

Difficulty

The difficulty of this section of the Ronda Verda is considered to be medium/high.

Problems

To complete the circuit in Carrer Gaspar in Santa Coloma de Gramenet and Avinguda Morera in Barcelona, you need to get off your bike and walk on the pavement whenever you are travelling against the direction of the traffic signs. Check the map.
